WHAT IS BLUE LIGHT?
Within the spectrum of light colors that our eyes can see, the part whose waves carry the most energy corresponds to blue light. Its wavelengths are between 380 and 500 nm. The power of these waves allows them to pass through the eye's spectrum and reach the retina. Specifically, wavelengths between 380-450 nm, known as HEV (High Energy Visible Light), are particularly harmful to the eye. The spectrum as a whole, up to 550 nm of green light, has a direct impact on our circadian cycles.

DO YOU NOTICE THE HARMFUL EFFECTS OF BLUE LIGHT?
After prolonged exposure to blue light, most people suffer from digital eye strain. Cell phones, computers, tablets...Their screens are major sources of blue lightthat we stare at for hours every day, from morning to night.
When looking at a screen, in addition to the impact of blue light on our macula, we blink less, causing dry eyes, and we strain the ciliary muscle by continuously focusing at close range.
Our goal is not only to protect you from blue light. We want to transform the screen experience from an uncomfortable moment into something you can enjoy.

Numerous studies, such as the one conducted by Harvard University on this subject explain how exposure to blue light at night suppresses the secretion of melatonin, a hormone that influences circadian rhythms and helps you fall asleep. Screens are major emitters of blue light, and according to these studies, looking at them at night without wearing blocking glasses is part of the reason why many people do not get restful sleep. In fact, these same studies link melatonin deficiency to an increased risk of depression, as well as diabetes and cardiovascular problems. -Try Biohackers Sleep Glasses-
Many organizations are already warning about the negative effects of overexposure to digital device screens. Renowned institutions such as the American organization The Vision Council accurately describe the impact of blue light on both adults and children in their article "The Eye Strain." They describe what can be done to alleviate these annoying symptoms of eye strain, particularly recommending the use of high-quality blue light blocking glasses, blinking frequently, and taking frequent breaks.
An empirical study by the University of Toledo, Ohio, USA, has demonstrated more clearly the harmful effects of overexposure to blue light from screens . They show that the incidence of blue light on the cells of the eye transforms healthy molecules into 'cell killers', which can cause macular degeneration, one of the leading causes of blindness in the world. They also explain that this light is so bright (similar to sunlight at dawn) that it can interfere with our hormonal system and cause sleep disorders.
